  • Ruby, a singer herself, performed "Forever Young" with her dad while her son Otis, 2, held her close

  • Ruby is one of Rod's eight children

Rod Stewart's latest show was a bit of a family affair.

As the British singer-songwriter, 81, was performing at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Fla., on Friday, Feb. 27, as part of his ongoingOne Last Time Farewell Tour, his daughterRuby Stewartjoined him onstage with yet another special guest: her 2-year-old son,Otis.

Rod's 38-year-old daughter and her little one joined the rocker for a performance of "Forever Young," with Ruby — a musician herself — performing a duet to the '80s track with her father.

Rod and Ruby sang for the Florida crowd as Otis, who sported a pair of noise-canceling headphones, clung to his mother's leg in a clip of the family performance that Ruby shared in anInstagram Storiespost on Saturday, Feb. 28.

Then, Ruby scooped up her son and, during an instrumental break in the song, danced with her father while holding the toddler in her arms. Rod could not seem to stop smiling as he looked on at the mother-son duo.

"Three generations of [Stewarts] one stage…," Ruby captioned the post.

Rod shares Ruby, one of his eight children, with ex-girlfriendKelly Emberg. The self-described "songstress" inherited the music genes from her dad and pursued a career as a singer. She was previously part of country music duo The Sisterhood, which disbanded in 2021, and is currently a solo artist who — like the Friday show — occasionally joins her dad for a performance.

Ruby shares Otis with fiancé Jake Kalic. The coupleannounced their engagementin early 2023 and revealed on social media that they had welcomed their son later that year, on Mother's Day.

"This love… unlike any other love I've ever known," Ruby said of Otis on Instagram at the time. She also shared that the now-toddler was born on May 9 at 3:36 p.m. and weighed in at 8 lbs., 8 oz.

Ruby has shared occasional glimpses into the family of three's life on Instagram, including marking Otis turning 2 with a special birthday-Mother's Day hybridpostlast year.

"You are two," the proud mom wrote alongside a sweet outdoor photo of the toddler. She went on to list "some of my favorite moments from this last year."

The moments ranged from "hearing you say I love you for the first time" and "seeing you muster up the courage to do things that scare you" to "seeing you hug your friends at school who are crying."

"And in all these moments.. I find myself having current nostalgia… I already miss the day you used to fit in my arms… the days we'd walk holding hands… the mornings I'd wake to you sleeping peacefully between us…," Ruby wrote of the 2-year-old. "One day you will outgrow me… but you will always be my baby… Happy birthday sweet Otis."

The US Air Force Is Setting Aside Land For A 'First-Of-Its-Kind' $38 Million Facility

The U.S military is initiating a host of domestic land projects. Ranging fromnew drone testing facilitiesto data centers, many of these projects hope to prepare the country for the changing defense landscape. One U.S. Air Force development looks to cultivate the next generation of leaders in these spaces, as a 16-acre plot at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, is now reserved to build a first-of-its-kind educational facility. Dubbed the STEM Talent Development Complex, the project will deliver high-end STEM education for local grade-schoolers through a 90,750 square-foot complex that'll include research labs, classrooms, community areas, dorms, and event spaces. According to the project's leaders, the massive facility near the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force will aim to deliver the next generation of scientists, technicians, and engineers.

Vince Russo, President of Air Camp, one of the future tenants of the facility, wrote in apress releasethat the project hopes to "become a national icon for how STEM talent development is conducted." Joe Sciabica, chair of the building committee, believes the center will prepare students for jobs across a range of sectors, ranging from healthcare and education to engineering and manufacturing. (viaWYSO) Long-term, project planners also hope such projects will boost the local economy, creating a highly skilled workforce capable of incentivizing government and private sector projects to flock to the region (viaDayton Daily News).

As it stands, the Air Force has signed its out-grant license, committing the branch to allocating the 16-acre plot of land for the project. The STEM Talent Development Complex aims to be completed by 2031. Following the groundbreaking ceremony, the complex will have a 50-year, no-cost lease.

The next generation of STEM leaders

The Stem Talent Development Complex shows a sprawling campus on an Air Force base between military buildings and a parking lot

Dayton's lawmakers, educators, and business community hope that the new STEM Talent Development Complex will unite diverse local educational groups to ingratiate STEM training into students' lives at a young age. The project is the brain child of six local action groups, which range from educational to economic. These organizations, many of which are signed on as future tenants, include Dayton Ohio STEM (DO STEM), a nonprofit that helps bridge the gap between students and STEM opportunities, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base's Educational Outreach Office, Air Camp Inc., the WPAFB Educational Outreach Program, the Montgomery County Educational Service Center, and the Strategic Ohio Council on Higher Education.

According to Joe Sciabica, who's also the executive director of the Employers' Workforce Coalition, a Dayton-area interest group involved with the project, "The idea is, if we could bring those pieces together under one roof, the sum pieces of the parts could be more than anyone could do by themselves." According to project leaders, the center focuses on giving local grade-schoolers hands-on experience in advanced engineering, science, mathematics, technology, and aerospace projects.

As Jessica Short, CEO of DO STEM, said at the agreement "We need to start at the earliest age, at three years old. They need to see themselves with a STEM identity. They're engineers. They're problem solvers. They're working toward these types of critical technologies and skills that need to happen in order to be successful in these STEM fields later in the future" (via WYSO).

Delivering the future

Signees clap as Col Dustin Richards, commander of the Wright Patterson Air Force Base, shakes hands with Air Camp Board President Vince Russo

The complex is a major step for local educators, lawmakers, and employers looking to boost the region's STEM-focused workforce. At the signing, Joe Sciabica noted the project could create a "STEM pipeline that feeds" the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, encouraging the Air Force to bring more missions to the base. Currently, Wright-Patterson hosts several Air Force missions, including the National Air and Space Intelligence Center, the Air Force Research Laboratory, and the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center.

According to Jeff Hoagland, President of the Dayton Development Coalition, developing this STEM-focused work force is also critical to attracting private investment in the region.(via Dayton Daily News). Such investments could be critical, as theU.S. government looks to encourage companies like Apple to increase U.S. production. Building an advanced workforce is essential, as students face anemployment landscape increasingly threatened by AIand autonomous robotics, particularly targeting lower-level white collar and manufacturing jobs.

Building the facility will be no easy task, its partners warn. On the docket for years,  the center will undergo a fundraising process before breaking ground. Project leaders will reportedly look to combine federal, state, and philanthropic funding to construct the new facility. Crowd sourcing for the new center will be conducted through the Dayton Foundation, looking to take pledges to contribute to the construction. The foundation, according to Air Camp President Vincent Russo, will "hold the money" in a charitable trust before transferring it to the project upon its groundbreaking. Organizers hope to raise between $38 and $40 million for the project. As Russo wrote in apress release, "the idea is to generate a large number of donors, with any amount they wish to donate, as a strong statement that the community is supportive of our efforts."

  • Kylie and Jason are parents to Finnley, 11 months; Bennett, 3; Elliotte, 4; and Wyatt, 6

KylieandJason Kelce'sfour daughtershave years before they'll ever joinsocial media, but their parents already have thoughts aboutwhen that moment may come.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Kylie, 33, says she and Jason, 38, "have discussed" letting their girls —Finnley, 11 months;Bennett, 3;Elliotte, 4; andWyatt, 6 — one day use platforms like Facebook, X, Instagram and TikTok, to name a few.

"We are really the first generation that's had access to social media for as long as we have, and during our developmental years, so we are big proponents ofnot allowing our kids to have that, especially when they're young," Kylie explains of herself and her husband.

"I think it's our job as parents to let our kids be kids," she continues. "Kids are meant to play. They aren't meant to be taking on the weight of the world or deal with comments online, or feel that they're not living up to this aesthetic lifestyle they see."

Adds the mom of four: "So in an effort to protect our girls, I think we will make a conscious effort to make sure they get to play and enjoy life, and really, truly lean into being kids."

While Kylie is appreciative of the joys that social media can bring, she is also aware that it has a dark side and can sometimes be a "black hole."

"Social media can be so disappointing, because there are so many ways that it doesn't show the true scope of things, and it's not a full scope of what happens," theNot Gonna Liepodcast host says.

"People can post these beautiful things, and then you think, 'Oh, that's not what my life looks like,' and suddenly someone is down on themselves about the fact that their life isn't as aesthetic," Kylie continues.

"It also allows the opportunity for people to become keyboard warriors and post comments and messaging that otherwise would not get to the person that they're commenting on."

Kylie is one to lead by example when it comes to uplifting her four young children. She tells PEOPLE she doesn't letnegative thoughtsaffect how she talks about herself, because she knows her girlslook up to her as a role model.

"I really try my best to make sure that I speak positively about myself, even on the days that I don't necessarily feel it," Kylie, who continues her ongoing partnership withDovethrough a commercial that aired during the2026 Super Bowl, explains.

"You can say it as much as you want, but we're still human, so there are days when I find myself leading by example for our girls, recognizing, like, 'You know what? I might not feel that way right now, but it is how Ishouldbe talking about myself,' " she continues.

According to Kylie, "Motherhood has forced me into the idea that I do need to make sure that I'm speaking positively about myself."

"Becausemaking sure that girls are confidentnot only sets them up to be happier, but they will also have a more joyful feeling in life, ... and that joy can drown out the other mess," she further explains.

After the judges placed them in the bottom two, Friday night's installment saw international Miami-Greece drag superstarAthena Dionduke it out against her granddaugther, dancing divaJuicy Love Dion, in a lip-sync gauntlet to "Call Me When You Break Up" by Selena Gomez, Gracie Abrams, and guest judge Benny Blanco.

The moment ended with Athena taking a knee, letting her beloved drag grandchild sit on her lap as they both burst into tears while Athena mouthed the song's symbolic lyrics, "You know I'm always here so don't ever be a stranger."

The moment left the entire cast in tears, with Athena ultimately sashaying away from the competition — but her impact lingering in the hearts of fans (and Juicy) forever.

Now, after the painful on-set moment, Athena reacts to the devastating lip-sync in herEntertainment Weeklyexit interview. She also reacts toPit StophostBianca Del Rioshading her on episodes of the recap show, her drag daughterPlane Jane's(alleged) jokes about the star quality of season 18, and why she wanted to "fall on the sword" for Juicy in the heat of herDrag Raceelimination.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: You woremanyeyes in the Werk Room. In hindsight, who were your ops?

You have to know all eyes will be on you. I tried diverting energy back to them, and kept my eyes on the prize to ward off jealousy, negativity, or wishes of downfall.

You can justsay Briar Blush.

She didn't last long enough, so… [Laughs]

Last week,Snatch Gamedrew pointed reactions from fans, many of whom said that original characters like yours, Greta, should be banned. Where do you stand on that?

I love these professionalSnatch Gameimpersonators chiming in to tell me what I should've done. I didn't know everybody was so proficient inSnatch Game. Unless you're there, shut the f--- up. Actually? Don't. Because I love the interaction and engagement. I'm glad it stirred reaction. I went onDrag Raceto be memorable, and I achieved that. When RuPaul looks you dead in the eye and tells you he doesn't like the character and to do something Greek, you better pull out the souvlaki and tzatziki.

Your drag relative, Plane Jane, said in a recent interview that she didn't see star quality on season 18, and that she was underwhelmed by the cast. You replied, telling her she was "disowned." She said she was just joking. Do you believe she was joking?

I don't think anybody should ever take anything Plane Jane says as serious. I don't think she ever knows what she's talking about. If there's anybody who made a career off shock value, it's Plane Jane. She keeps people talking. That's a Dion family trait I have to commend her for. There are obviously stars on the show because, hello, I'm a star, and I'm on the show. And literal Starrs:VitaandMia. The funny thing about Plane is she was dragged, that quote got her in so much hot water. She said it off the cuff, but I don't think the season 18 girlies were too happy to see that.

Bianca Del Rio also had a lot to say onPit Stop. She came for you early. Is there history with you two? It almost seems flirtatious!

Every time she talks about me, I get really hot. It turns me on. Somebody that has this much feeling about me? Throw me down in the bedroom and call me Sally. It's sexy to me. We've worked together twice before. I'm trying to remember, did I take her mirror by accident? Did I borrow something and not give it back? I wonder what sparked this. We were getting along just fine! I've been the object of her affection all season. I watchPit Stop, but I hold my finger on the screen to fast-forward until she talks about me. She caused me to watchPit Stopmore. Otherwise, I don't think I'd watch.

Have you heard from her?

I tag her all the time. I ask if she wants to take me out. I want to know what she likes to do on the weekends. I'm looking to build on this relationship, because there's obviously something there. There's chemistry. I spark something within her. I want to explore that further. If she's willing to give it a go, babe, I'm here for you! I'm totally open!

A formal date request?

Yeah. I think she needs to put all that energy in the right place, and I have the spot right here, ready for her.

Back to the lip-sync against Juicy, were you surprised that it ended up being you two in the bottom, or did you expect that, as fans predicted?

We got the call [to doDrag Race] within minutes of each other. I got it first, so I had five minutes to relish in it, then the harsh reality of Juicy getting the call. I was excited, but I immediately felt this weight of, we're going against each other in the biggest competition in the world. We always had this looming idea of whether or not we're lip-syncing against each other, both of us aren't going to win.

Somehow, the drag gods put us into that final lip-sync. There's no one else in the cast that I would've let or preferred to send me home. If I had to choose, I know everybody would say anybody but Juicy; I'd say Juicy or no one. I wouldn't want to go home by any of those girls. I'd want Juicy to be the one to send me home.

Athena Dion eliminated from 'RuPaul's Drag Race' season 18Credit: MTV

When you sat down and let Juicy sit on your lap, was that you accepting that you were eliminated? Did you let Juicy win?

"Let" isn't the word I'd use. I didn't want to go home. I've always been a lap for her, a shoulder for her, a steppingstone for her. We're at two different parts of our career. I walked into that show as a drag superstar. Juicy came in as a green queen searching for who she is…. This was an opportunity to fall on the sword and let her climb up farther, because I felt like I could do it [for her]. This isn't me saying that Ilether win, it was a maternal instinct, soulmate reaction.

To clarify, when you say "fall on the sword," you were wrapped up in the emotion, and felt compelled and wanted to fall on the swordforJuicy?

I don't think there's ever a moment where I'd want to defeat Juicy. I don't think she wanted to, either. That's why we ended in an embrace. It's so symbolic. It's like, nobody's winning here, because we're losing the other one. Going into the competition, I had two opportunities to win. I didn't look at it as me or her. One of us wins, the other one wins. It was more like, "Go finish this — for us."
