Jojo McGinniss, 45, of Adelaide, Australia, said she began seriously considering plastic surgery when she was 42, according to news agency SWNS.

"I still wanted to be me, that was my goal. I just wanted to look refreshed," she explained while speaking to the outlet.

Jojo said that she initially researched clinics in Australia, but she ultimately began looking into plastic surgeons in Turkey due to more affordable pricing.

After finding a surgeon she liked and saving up the money, Jojo booked an appointment for adeep plane face lift, neck lift, temple lift, liposuction on her mid-section and facial fat transfer.

Jojo went on to say that numerous people in her life, including her partner, Dave Pettman, 53, had some concerns about her decision.

"Dave was fearful at first that I'd not look like myself any more. And beforehand, people told me 'You're beautiful as you are', or [said] I'm 'still young and didn't need it,' " she recalled.

However, Jojo said that she felt confident in her choice, despite what others thought.

"My biggest concern was my neck, and I knew it was the right decision for me, even though people told me I'm still young," she said.

Jojotraveled to Turkeywith Dave, 53, for her scheduled surgery in February, which entailed a 19-hour flight in economy and eight hours on the operating table.

Jojo said that she experienced significant swelling after the surgery, but she knew it was to be expected.

"When I first saw myself after the surgery, all swollen, I was like, 'What the f--k?' But I knew it would only be temporary," she said.

Now, over a month later, Jojo said she is already thrilled with her results — despite the fact that she has received somenegative trollingabout her new appearance on social media.

"People say I look years older, or that I look exactly the same, but I have thick skin … I don't think I look older, and I don't know why people put others down like that, just [sitting] behind a keyboard," she said.

Jojo added that she's "really happy" with her results, noting, "It's a lot of money for quite subtle changes, but they're exactly the changes I wanted."

On March 26, 2026, Kristin Davis released a new episode of her podcast, Are You a Charlotte?, that featured guest actor Jason McDonald from Sex and the City

NEED TO KNOW

  • During the conversation, McDonald recalled a brief but flirty storyline his character had with Charlotte York that never actually made it to screen

  • Davis, however, admitted to not remembering the kiss they shared in what was supposed to be included in episode 13 of season 2

For years,Kristin Davishas been synonymous withCharlotte York, the optimistic romantic at the heart ofSex and the City.

Now, decades later, the 61-year-old actress is revisiting memories from the show on her podcastAre You a Charlotte?, where she reconnects with former costars and guest actors — including Jason McDonald, who appeared in a storyline which was "fully cut out."

Onthe March 26 episode, McDonald explained that he was cast as a man named Emerson in season 2, episode 13, titled "Games People Play." However, it wasn't until the episode aired months later that he learned "they cut our whole storyline."

McDonald went on to describe the deleted plot, which centered around an Upper East Side bridge party.

His character and Charlotte were apparently paired as partners in a flirtatious setup that quickly escalated.

"You and I were making eyes across the room from each other, and then we ended up being partners, and then someone accused us of cheating, and then we went around the corner, and you put me up against the bookshelf and kissed me," he explained, prompting Davis to laugh at how "bold" the move sounded for her character, Charlotte.

After the kiss, the scene ended with the party host walking in on the pair and telling them to leave.

Despite hearing the details, Davis admitted, "I don't have a clear memory." She explained that while she vaguely remembered filming a bridge-related scene, the specifics had faded — likely because the footage never aired. Instead, the storyline was ultimately cut, with the episode using a voiceover to explain Charlotte's abrupt exit from the party.

For McDonald, however, the role had felt like a major breakthrough at the time.

"It was… the first big booking of my career, so I was so excited to work with you," he admitted to Davis, noting that he had auditioned multiple times for different roles before finally landing Emerson.

Not realizing his scenes had been removed, he even hosted a watch party with friends — only to find himself completely absent from the episode.

During their conversation, Davis offered a possible explanation for the cut, pointing to guest starJon Bon Jovi, who appeared in the episode as Seth, a manSarah Jessica Parker's Carrie Bradshawmeets in therapy. With limited screen time, Davis speculated that the rocker's storyline may have taken priority over the bridge party plot.

"No, really, no one can compete with Jon Bon Jovi," she said.

Even so, McDonald said he still looks back on the experience fondly. "You know, it's been a good story for me for the past 25 years," he emphasized, recalling the long night of filming and time spent with her and the cast. In fact, the actor still even has Polaroid photos from their time together on set, which he brought to show Davis.

The actress, however, still felt for him, offering a heartfelt apology.

"Well, I'm just really sorry. I just want to apologize for all of us. I feel bad. I know you're over it, but I feel bad, because as an actor, it's just so painful," Davis said. "Like, you try to get these parts, you try to get these parts, you get these parts, you're excited. You go, you do the best you can do, and you're just waiting for them to come on, and then it's gone."

"I'm sad that our little storyline wasn't meant to be; it's tragic," she added, noting that the "brief romance" sounds "fun" compared to "the other things that Charlotte was up to in this era."

Slain college student's mother vows 'fight for justice' after illegal immigrant charged in Chicago killing

The mother of slain college student Sheridan Gorman is speaking out, vowing a "fight for justice" after the 18-year-old was allegedly murdered by an illegal immigrant earlier this month in Chicago.

Fox News

Jessica Gorman delivered emotional remarks Saturday at a vigil in Yorktown Heights, New York, honoring her daughter, aLoyola University Chicagofreshman whose life was cut short in what authorities describe as a sudden, violent attack.

"I want to say this gently, but honestly, as a mom. I'm angry," Jessica Gorman said. "I'm like completely heartbroken, and we are going to fight for justice for our sweet Sheridan, and we're going to fight for change."

While acknowledging that "not everyone" will see the situation the same way, Jessica Gorman underscored what she described as a universal truth shared by parents.

"At the heart of all of this, we all want the same thing — for your children and for ours to be safe, to be protected, and to come home," Jessica Gorman said. At the vigil, the family's attorney, Thomas Tripodianos, warned against what he described as growing complacency about public safety.

"If we accept this, even silently, then we are accepting a reality where young people are not as safe as they should be. And that is not acceptable," Tripodianos said. "And there must be justice. Real justice."

Family members and friends also shared memories of Sheridan, remembering her impact on those around her.

"Sheridan, you are deeply loved at Loyola," Steven Betancourt, director of campus ministry at Loyola University Chicago, said. "You are deeply missed, and you will live on in the lives you touched and forever changed."

US Department of Homeland Security says Lewandowski has left after Noem's firing

By Nate Raymond

Reuters

March 28 (Reuters) - Corey Lewandowski, who was an aide to former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, no ‌longer works at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, ‌a spokesperson for the agency said on Saturday.

Lewandowski "no longer has a role at DHS," the DHS spokesperson said, without providing further details. Lewandowski had been an unpaid adviser to Noem. He previously served as President Donald Trump's campaign manager in the 2016 election.

Lewandowski did not respond to ‌a request for comment. The department's confirmation of his departure was first reported by Politico.

Trump fired Noem earlier this month, saying she would become special envoy to a new "Shield of the Americas" initiative to promote his security policies in the Western Hemisphere. Noem has since been replaced as the head of DHS by former U.S. Senator ‌Markwayne Mullin, whom the Senate confirmed on Tuesday.

The close relationship between Lewandowski and Noem drew scrutiny. At a congressional hearing earlier this month, a Democratic lawmaker asked Noem directly whether she had a sexual relationship with Lewandowski — a question Noem dismissed as "tabloid garbage."

Lewandowski ‌appeared with Noem in photos released on Wednesday by the U.S. embassy in Guyana, which showed him by her side in meetings with Guyana's President Irfaan ‌Ali.

Noem, in her new role, reports to Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau. A State Department official earlier this week declined to explain to Reuters why Lewandowski was on the trip with ‌Noem but said he would not be joining the department in any capacity.

Europe seeks to increase deportations as some warn of Trump-like tactics

BRUSSELS (AP) — The European Union is expanding its powers to track, raid and deport migrants to"return hubs″ in third countries in Africa and elsewhere, quietly adopting tactics of the Trump administration that have drawn public criticism across the 27-nation bloc.

Associated Press

The EU continues to tighten migration policies after right-wing parties took power in some countries in 2024. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, from the center-right European People's Party coalition, has said the new measures will prevent a repeat of the 2015 crisis caused by Syria's civil war, when about 1 million people arrived to seek asylum.

"We have learnt the lessons of the past. And today, we are better equipped," von der Leyen has said. Thenew policies, known as the Pact on Migration and Asylum, go into effect on June 12.

Far-right parties in Europe have praised thedeportation policiesof U.S. President Donald Trump and called for the EU to adopt a similar approach. Human rights groups warn that authorities are already illegally pushing back migrants at EU borders and hollowing out their legal protections.

Italy provides a model

The EU already spends millions of dollarsto deter migrants before they reach its shores, and has supportedtens of thousands of Africans returning home, voluntarily or by force.

What's envisioned now is an expansion of what Italy has created under Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and her "tough on migration" stance. It operates two migrant detention centers for rejected asylum-seekers in Albania. One currently holds at least 90 migrants, said lawmaker Rachele Scarpa, who said she found people confused and scared during a recent visit.

In addition, Meloni's Cabinet has approved an anti-immigration package that would allow the navy to halt vessels in international waters for up to six months if they are deemed a threat to public order; return intercepted migrants to countries of origin or third countries; and speed up the deportation of foreign nationals convicted of crimes.

An "informal group" of EU nations including Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Denmark and Greece are pursuing deportation center agreements, said Bernd Parusel, a researcher at the Swedish Institute for European Policy Studies.

Kenya is one country they are speaking with, said a Dutch member of the European Parliament, Tineke Strik. Whether consciously or not, the plan is similar toTrump's deals with nations like El Salvadorto take in deported migrants, she said.

Other countries are exploring similar ideas. Sweden's migration minister has saidthe conservative ruling coalition approves setting up hubs outside Europe, especially for Afghan and Syrian asylum-seekers.

Some in Europe cheer Trump-style tactics

During the Winter Olympics in Italy, protests eruptedover the deployment of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to provide security to the U.S. delegation. But others in Europe have praised ICE's actions and called for setting up deportation-focused police units.

The EU border service Frontex began sending officers along on raids with Belgium's police in 2024 to detain and deport migrants. It is not clear whether it is doing this in other countries.

The European Commission has declined requests to take a position on U.S. federal immigration policies.

In Britain, which left the EU several years ago, the center-left Labour Party government has made curbing unauthorized immigration a key focus.

The Home Office in February said almost 60,000 people had been deported since the government was elected in July 2024. It said 9,000 arrests were made of people working without permission in 2025, up by more than half from the year before.

Pushbacks, raids and surveillance increase

Under the principle of non-refoulement in EU and international law, a person cannot be returned to a country where they would face persecution.

But European immigration enforcement tactics include so-called pushbacks, where people trying to cross into the EU are forced back across a border without access to asylum procedures.

Authorities in Europe carry out an average of 221 pushbacks a day, according to a February report by a group of humanitarian organizations. More than 80,000 pushbacks were recorded in 2025, the report said, mostly in Italy, Poland, Bulgaria and Latvia.

"Men, women and children — including individuals in critical medical condition — are routinely subjected to beatings, attacks by police dogs, forced stripping, forced river crossings and theft of personal belongings," according to the report.

European agents are brutalizing migrants just like in the U.S., said Flor Didden, migration policy expert at the Belgian human rights group 11.11.11. Some, like in Greece, even wear masks.

"The images are shocking and the outrage is justified," he said of the U.S. "But where is that same moral clarity when European border authorities abuse, rob and let people die?"

Europe still has more protections for migrants

The groups also have recorded an expansion of surveillance technology like drones, thermal cameras and satellites to monitor people on the move.

Other human rights groups warn of a weakening of legal protections.

The EU's new migration regulations allow for more police raids in private homes and public spaces and more use of surveillance and racial profiling, said a letter to EU institutions in February from 88 nonprofit groups including the Brussels-based Platform for International Cooperation on Undocumented Migrants.

"We cannot be outraged by ICE in the United States while also supporting these practices in Europe," said the platform's director, Michele LeVoy.

Olivia Sundberg Diez, EU migration advocate for Amnesty International, said Europe retains more protections for vulnerable migrants than the United States but shares much of the political momentum toward harsher policies.

"There's a level of institutions' and courts' independence and human rights compliance in Europe that you can't disregard," she said. "But the fundamental political impulse is the same, and I worry that the human consequences will be the same."

Zampano reported from Rome. Associated Press writers Elena Becatoros in Athens, Jill Lawless in London, Paolo Santalucia in Rome, Claudia Ciobanu in Warsaw and Kirsten Grieshaber in Berlin contributed to this report.

Police in Jupiter, Florida, confirmed on March 27, 2026, that Woods was charged with driving under the influence, among other offenses, when an SUV was found on its side after a two-vehicle crash. No injuries were reported and Woods has yet to address the matter publicly.

Woods' trouble on the road dates back to the early morning hours of November 27, 2009, when Florida police responded to an emergency call near his' Orlando neighborhood. Woods later called the situation a "private matter," but injuries kept him off the golf course at the Chevron World Challenge later that month.

Eight years later, Woods pleaded guilty to reckless driving when he had another crash near his Florida home. His most serious accident occurred in 2021 when his SUV rolled over in Rancho Palos Verdes, California, requiring him to have emergency surgery.

Woods was treated for facial lacerations and ultimately backed out of multiple appearances that month, including at his own Chevron World Challenge charity event.

There was intense speculation about what caused the crash but Woodsreleased a statementto accept full responsibility.

"The only person responsible for this accident is me," he insisted. "My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false."

The golfer went on, "As you all know, I had a single-car accident earlier this week, and sustained some injuries. I have some cuts, bruising and right now I'm pretty sore."

"This situation is my fault, and it's obviously embarrassing to my family and me. I'm human and I'm not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn't happen again," he vowed. "This is a private matter and I want to keep it that way. Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible."

Woods paid a $164 fine to resolve a careless driving charge, percontemporary reports.

At the time, Woodsreleased a statementto assure the public that he understood "the severity of what I did."

"I take full responsibility for my actions," he told ABC News. "I want the public to know that alcohol was not involved. What happened was an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications. I didn't realize the mix of medications had affected me so strongly."

He added, "I would like to apologize with all my heart to my family, friends and the fans. I expect more from myself too."

Tiger Woods Was Seriously Injured in a 2021 Car Crash

Four years after his reckless driving charge,Tiger Woods was seriously injuredin a rollover crash in Rancho Palos Verdes, California, on February 23, 2021. No charges were filed but Woods had to be transported to Harbor–UCLA Medical Center with a shattered ankle and two leg fractures.

Woods later toldGolf Magazinein May 2021 that the recovery from his rollover crash injuries was the most challenging of his life.

"I understand more of the rehab processes because of my past injuries, but this was more painful than anything I have ever experienced," he told the publication. "My physical therapy has been keeping me busy. I do my routines every day and am focused on my No. 1 goal right now: walking on my own. Taking it one step at a time."

Tiger Woods Was Charged With a DUI in March 2026

Jupiter Island, Florida, SheriffJohn Budensiekheld a press conference on March 27, 2026 to confirm that Tiger Woods had beencharged with driving under the influence, property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test after he refused a uranalysis.

Woods was allegedly involved in a two-vehicle rollover crash at around 2 p.m. local time. No injuries were reported, though a Land Rover was found on its side.

Woods was booked and eventually released after eight hours in police custody. Budensiek told the press later that day what led up to Woods facing criminal charges.

Budensiek continued, "Mr. Woods did a breathalyzer test with triple zeros, but when it came time for us to ask for a urinalysis test, he refused, so he's been charged with DUI, property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test."

"We know we arrested a high profile figure … but it doesn't matter who you are," the sheriff warned. "If you break the law, we're going to follow the law. That's a really easy path to take."

A mugshot was released that same day, showing Woods in a blue shirt and blankly staring ahead at the camera.

"As far as him being in the jail, we're going to make sure he's safe. We're not going to put him in the general population," Sheriff Budensiek confirmed. "He's not going to be with other inmates that can hurt him or try to capitalize on what he did. He'll pay the price but he's not going to pay the price by getting punished in jail."
