LOS ANGELES – There aren't too many people on the planet who could've imagined what it was like to be inConan O'Brien'sshoes on Sunday night as he hosted the 98th Academy Awards.
Nikki Glaser, who has hosted the Golden Globes for the last two years, is one of them.
The comedian, 41, told USA TODAY at theVanity Fair Oscar Partyred carpet that a group chat she has with her team of writers and producers was firing on all cylinders throughout Sunday night's broadcast. "Whoa, that was so good," "Oh my God, they get permission to do that?" and "I wonder how they made that work?" were just a few of the texts sent in the group chat, according to Glaser.

She admitted that hosting an awards show has altered the way she watches them.

"Conan did so good tonight and did such an effortless job," Glaser added. "It just looks like he's having so much fun up there and that it's so easy for him. And I just know that it's not easy and how much work he put into it."
Glaser said she ran into O'Brien a week ago at a comedy club while the Oscars host was working out material for the show and "saw kind of the fear in his eyes of like, 'Here we go,' because it's live."
Glaser knows that fear all too well and will reacquaint herself with it in 2027 when she returns to host the Golden Globes for a third consecutive year.

"But I've got long enough to be like, 'Maybe the world won't exist in 10 months,'" she deadpanned. "I accepted it again because what makes me feel alive is doing things that scare me. That fear, and then being done with it, makes me feel like 'I did it.' That's what gives me self-esteem, for good or worse."
